Why We Created this Resort
Mickey Powers, owner and his wife left for Belize on a couples vacation while also looking for property in early 2020. There, they found a beautiful property and more than they could’ve ever dreamed. In front of them were the necessary ingredients to provide truly holistic health experience; ranging from the organic food sourced from the Mennonite neighboring community, to the blanketing tranquility of the undeveloped Caribbean and local culture.
When speaking with the locals, they discovered the overall concept of health in northern Belize was based not on treating the problem, but creating a physical and psychological environment that freed the soul from the unhealthy patterns we have become so accustomed to living. From that point Jaguarundi Shores began to create itself.
